About Orchard Hill

Orchard Hill Camp is designed to meet the needs of the Community locally and globally. It’s located in the foothills of upstate South Carolina. On nearly 90 acres you will find farm land, creeks Fishing pond, zip line, low ropes course, ball fields, 18 hole disc golf course, trails, big trees, rolling hills, & and an amazing facility to host our families and guest.. Coming soon in 2023 we’ll have a 2.5 acre lake for water activities, Farm animals, and more. Wow! All of this only 15 min away from one of the Top 10 Best Downtowns in the country, Greenville SC. So how did all of this start? Founders Chasen & Casey Callahan were pastors for over a decade at Marathon Church and saw a need within their Community during a world wide pandemic to help families continue to grow and be more than what they ever thought was possible. When everything was shutting down in the world Chasen and Casey were filling the pull to be a place that opened opportunities for families to have some sort of normalcy. In 2020 Chasen and Casey partnered with Marathon Church to provide a camp like experience for elementary age kids during the day. We opened the doors with an open heart for whatever God had in store. We just wanted to be available. That summer we had over 60 kids a day showing up and experiencing the outdoors, fun, love and ultimately a God who loves them and created them. Having a background in programming and education Chasen & Casey felt the call to continue this beyond the 4 walls of the church. branching out into other communities and offering a cheaper option for child development during the day and becoming a household name for childcare. With the growth of the camp Chasen and Casey expanded their reach to more kids from all over reaching 100 kids a day the second year. Now Orchard Hill is becoming an experience that every kid needs to have during the summer. If it’s for one week or the entire summer Orchard Hill Camp is the place to be. “We’ve been an organization for 3 years now and it feels like we are just now starting to see what God really might be wanting to do.” -Chasen Callahan. Orchard Hill Ministries has the plans to open a trading post where people can purchase quality household home goods such as clothing, furniture, and more. As well as local produce picked straight from the farm all at a discounted rate. The proceeds will go back to the camp and its ministry partners. OHC plans to have a food pantry opportunity associated with the trading post for families in need in the Community. OHC has just recently opened the first phase of Orchard Hill Academy; a private school for kids to grow not just in their spiritual journey but also in their education. the first phase is for ages 6wks-4K. We hope in the near future we can offer the other phases. This will include kids K5 - 12th grade. Our staff has such a heart for the community we just can’t wait to help more people in all different walks of life.

  • We require every camper to pass a swim test to be able to swim without a life jacket in designated areas.

    • Our pool is one depth of around 5ft deep.

    • Our lake will be different depths with shallow water starting with a beach like entry & gradually getting to 4 ft as our “shallow” water. Our deepest water is around 10 feet deep.

    • We require certified life vest for all canoeing and kayaking.

We have Red Cross certified lifeguards on duty during water activities. Once you have passed the test you will receive a bracelet that must be worn during swim time. You can try to pass your swim test anytime the water front is open.

  • Our counselors are hand-selected through our extensive process of interviews, reference, and background checks. Once hired, we make a personal investment in our counselors through weekly discipleship program, fun outings, food, and much more. We have competitive pay for the summer camp industry.
